The Red Magic 8 Pro I am using was originally a Chinese variant. I purchased the phone from someone who unlocked the bootloader and installed the Global ROM using root access. The phone performs exceptionally well. During gaming, there are no lag issues, frame drops, or performance problems. Overall performance is a solid 10 out of 10. However, there are a few points to be aware of due to the modification: 1) Since the bootloader is unlocked, the phone will not receive official system updates. 2) Because the Global ROM is installed, some lock screen styles (around 5–6 options) are not working. If the bootloader is locked again, all those features will return to normal. That said, I do not want to use the Chinese ROM again. I prefer to keep the Global ROM. Overall, the phone has no functional or performance-related issues at all. The only thing to mention is a few minor marks on the side frame of the screen, which do not affect performance or daily usage in any way.
