The BMW MSV90 DME (Digital Motor Electronics) engine computer is the electronic control unit responsible for managing the engine system in BMW cars equipped with the N52 engine. It controls ignition, fuel injection, the Valvetronic system, and various engine sensors. First broken computer I repaired. Common faults in the MSV90 DME unit: Engine not starting or intermittent starting. Fault code 133902 (DME Internal Fault) appearing. Valvetronic system faults such as code 134B02. BSD Communication Fault (2E7C). Loss of spark in one or more cylinders. Damage caused by water ingress or electrical overvoltage.
