Peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you.
I present to you a GMC.
Model 81.
The car's engine is a Caprice model 91-92. I changed its spark plugs and wires, air filter, engine oil and its filter with a solution, and changed its starter switch.
The car is not inspected, its registration is new.
The car is running, but it has several major problems that have been fixed at a specialized GMC workshop.
- It had a crack in the chassis and the entire chassis was replaced, attached with pictures.
- It had a small crack in the chassis on the driver's side, which was laser welded. The chassis was also sprayed with sand and three protective layers against rust.
- The cabin and bed mounts were changed.
- What are the current issues with the car?
- There is welding in the bed near the step on both sides.
- The transmission has a slight issue in gear changes, but filling it with oil resolved it.
- There is a transmission oil leak that requires changing the seals.
- There is a differential leak.
- The car has some sputtering, I think the carburetor needs cleaning. In general, several things need cleaning, such as the radiator, given that the car was parked for a period.
There is a difference of three digits in the registration compared to the chassis number, which can be corrected at the traffic department.
All pictures are attached.
There is also a YouTube video about its renovation.
