This alloy contains approximately 15% vanadium, creating a unique alloy composition that produces an extremely high volume of vanadium carbides in its microstructure. In knife blades, this translates to astonishing cutting performance and exceptional edge retention. The limited-edition Spyderco CPM 15V series knives have been further enhanced by a specialized heat-treating protocol developed by renowned custom knifemaker Shawn Houston. This special Sprint Run™ Para 3 knife faithfully includes all the proven design elements of the platform, including its high-strength Compression Lock® mechanism and a four-position pocket clip.
