We are a growing restaurant specializing in cuisine type – e.g. healthy salads, international cuisine, etc.. We are looking for a talented and experienced Cold Kitchen Chef to join our team and help us deliver high-quality dishes with consistent standards.
Job Summary
The Cold Kitchen Chef will be responsible for preparing and presenting all cold items, including salads, sandwiches, appetizers, cold mezze, dressings, and desserts (as applicable). The ideal candidate must have solid experience in a cold kitchen and a strong sense of organization, hygiene, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and present all cold dishes according to the restaurant’s standards and recipes.
• Ensure all food is fresh, properly stored, and labeled at all times.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety in the cold kitchen section.
• Control portion sizes and minimize waste.
• Coordinate with the Head Chef and other team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Assist in developing new cold dishes, salads, and specials when required.
• Follow HACCP and food safety guidelines at all times.
Requirements
• Proven experience as a Cold Kitchen Chef / Garde Manger in a restaurant, hotel, or catering (5 years).
• Strong knowledge of salads, cold appetizers, sandwiches, and plating techniques.
• Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and proper storage.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple orders at the same time.
• Team player with a positive attitude and good communication skills.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and holidays when required.
• Transferable Iqama (for non-Saudis) is preferred.
