Activity: Pair practice – “Interview a partner” and present.
Week 2: Tenses for Everyday Use
Speaking: Talking about daily routines, habits, and past experiences.
Grammar: Present simple vs. past simple.
Writing: Write a short diary entry (past day vs. today).
Activity: Role-play (talk about “yesterday” vs. “today”).
Week 3: Expanding Sentences
Speaking: Describing things, people, and places.
Grammar: Adjectives, adverbs, comparatives, and superlatives.
Writing: Write a descriptive paragraph (your room, favorite place).
Activity: “Describe and guess” – one student describes, others guess.
Week 4: Practical Communication
Speaking: Conversations (at a shop, restaurant, or with friends).
Grammar: Future tense (will, going to), modal verbs (can, must, should).
Writing: Write a short email or message (asking, requesting, inviting).
Activity: Role-plays (ordering food, making plans).
Week 5: Structuring Ideas
Speaking: Giving opinions and explaining reasons.
Grammar: Linking words (because, but, so, although).
Writing: Write a short opinion paragraph (e.g., “Do you prefer TV or books?”).
Activity: Group discussion/debate (guided, simple topics).
Week 6: Putting It All Together
Speaking: Short presentations (about themselves, a hobby, or a dream).
Grammar: Review of all key points.
Writing: Write a short essay (introduction + body + conclusion).
Activity: Present written work orally, class feedback.
