Some information about the Red French chicken breed: -
Red French chickens have many advantages based on experience and raising. We will mention some of them in detail:
1) An authentic meat breed with stable genetic traits in all its generations, unlike some imported hybrid breeds whose traits deteriorate from one generation to another over time.
2) Saves financial costs in feed, facilities, and labor
(Roosters reached a live weight of 2.5 kg and chickens 1.5 kg live at 70 days old 🧣🧣🧣
And I believe, God willing, if they are provided with the same broiler chicken sheds, they will give better weights)
And they outperform local chickens in saving financial costs regarding feed and labor by shortening the rearing cycle time from 4 months to (60-70) days due to the efficiency of converting feed to meat (if proper rearing principles are applied from the beginning of the brooding period, controlling temperature, humidity, lighting, ventilation, and purified water, then feeding with starter, grower, and finisher feed and vitamins).
3) A layer breed with very distinctive productivity
The Red French chicken breed lays light brown eggs starting from 5 months and three weeks old
And the egg size is large
And at a rate of 50-60% for the productive flock (under proper rearing conditions, with suitable housing for laying hens, layer feed, and vitamins).
4) The dressing percentage of Red French chickens, based on experience for roosters, is 65-69% after slaughter from live weight, which is close to the dressing percentage of broiler chickens.
5) An adapted breed with strong immunity
Based on our experience of more than ten years,
The Red French chicken breed is adapted to local weather conditions (Jeddah and Riyadh, hot regions) and has excellent immunity, close to local chicken breeds in free-range rearing conditions.
And praise be to God, it gave better results in temperate and cold highland regions and in wire cages, as egg production increased and the size of the birds also increased.
6) This breed of chickens is relatively calm and not aggressive‎
